Harold Godwinson’s rule challenged by William of Normandy and his own brother Tostig Godwinson with Viking King of Sweeden, Harold Hardrada (hard ruler).

Harold Godwinson defeats and kills Harold Hardrada and Tostig at Stamford Bridge in September.

September, William is finally able to cross the channel and lands at Pevensey.
